We went in for breakfast and our server Crow was absolutely phenomenal! He was so friendly and fun! It felt like we were all just hanging with a friend rather than eating out. Food was good. Loved sitting outside and the view of the mountains. Will definitely stop by again before we leave!
I really liked this place. It's humble and honest and local. The food is made in-house and it does well what it does well. I liked the huevos mexicana...the beans were delicious. I also had an omelette which was good. Coffee could be better. Special shout-out to Crow who brings great service and lots of personality.
We had a hard time finding a place open for lunch and were happy to find the Chili Pepper Cafe! The servers were friendly and there were lots of bottled drink choices. I really enjoyed the green chili sauce on my Burrito. Very flavorful! The queso is unique and packed with flavor. Highly recommend stopping!
We didn't know what to expect way out here at the end of civilization ... and we were pleasantly surprised. Was the atmosphere great? It certainly wasn't corporate Mexican restaurant style, but it was sincere, homey, and a 60s-style cafe ... for those of us who remember back that far. The staff was super and very friendly. As for the quality of the food ... I couldn't improve on it at all. I gladly give Chili Pepper Cafe a 5 star rating. Good job, Kids.
Great place to stop and eat. Had the Ron’s burrito and the crispy taco plate and they were both excellent. Service was great also.
Great food and air conditioning . After tent camping and battling the flies and nats in Big Bend it was nice to enjoy a meal indoors. I got the chicken fried steak w fries veggies and a side salad. Hubby ordered the tacos salad and he said it was very good. Sweet tea was just right! Prices are very reasonable.
As Always most excellent meal this chilly morning, 35 here in the desert, My friend Crow seated and took our orders. always a positive smiling soul he is. the Chef TT cooked our meals perfectly, I had The Migas plate & highly recommend it. pretty much anything on the menu is good.
Service was slow and a little disorganized, but the good was fantastic. Not the run of the mill Mexican food, but varied, delicious food. I would love to have a restaurant like thus near me. I would highly recommend stopping here if you’re in the area, but have some patience.
